Sunday Open Gender Doubles at The Strand - Summer I 2025

The first Sunday of Spring I play is Sunday, June 15th, 2025

Details:

• Format: Open Gender 2x2 teams (all male, all female, or mixed).
• Duration: 6 weeks total (5 weeks of regular season, 1 week of playoffs)
• Game Rules: Matches consist of 2 games to 21 points, with a 3rd game to 15 if necessary.
• Time Slots: Matches last one hour and are scheduled at 4:30, 5:30 6:30, 7:30, 8:30, and 9:30 PM. Matches will start on time -- don't be late!
• Judgment Calls: Each level will use judgment to enforce ball-handling rules appropriate to their skill level.

Skill Levels:

• BB (Skilled): Teams at this level demonstrate strong ball-handling skills and enjoy competitive rallies and high-scoring games. While less consistent than "A" level players, BB players are skilled and often move up with exceptional performance.
• B (Recreational): This division is for players who understand the basics of volleyball (e.g., three hits per side) but may not always use them. Perfect for a fun night out with friends or coworkers! A referee will be on-site to explain rules and assist teams with any questions

Monday Doubles at The Strand - Summer I - Summer I 2025

Welcome to Sunner  I at The Strand!

This session lasts 6 weeks total.  Four weeks of regular season, one week same gender playoffs, one week coed playoffs.

 Here are the details.

• 6 weeks long
• 4 weeks plus playoffs one week for same gender and one for coed.
• coed/revco will have only coed playoffs, ALL RESULTS COUNT TOWARDS SEEDING.
• same gender and coed/revco play at different times so you can play both leagues.
• Limited spots available.

League starts June 2nd

Tuesdays at The Strand - Open Gender 4x4 BB and B Levels - Summer I 2025

6 WEEKS LONG! 5 weeks plus playoffs.

Tuesday volleyball at The Strand includes - Open Gender 4x4 BB and B levels (all guys, all girls, or a mix). All levels will be using judgment to make ball handling calls at their specific level. There is no girl touch rule in our leagues (girl player does not have to make contact with the ball before it goes over the net).

The first day of the Summer I session is June 3rd.

Playoffs will be July 8th.

• Two matches per week
• Matches will be best of 3. First 2 sets to 21, third set to 15 if necessary.
• The time slots are 6:30, 7:20, 8:10, 9:00, and 9:50.
• MATCHES WILL START AND END ON TIME.

Here are the skill descriptions.

BB - Skilled. Teams in this division have skilled players with good ball handling skills but are less consistent than the "A" level players. Expect good rallies and lots of scoring. Players that do exceptionally well in this level move up.

B - Recreational division. These teams understand that there are 3 hits to get the ball over the net but might not use all 3 every time. Teams in this division are usually out for a fun night with friends or coworkers. We will have a referee on site to explain rules and help the teams along if any questions arise.

Wednesdays at The Strand CoEd 4x4- BB/B - Summer I 2025

Coed 4x4 - BB and B levels at The Strand!

6 weeks long- five weeks plus playoffs

Wednesday volleyball at The Strand includes Coed 4x4 (one girl minimum) BB & B. All levels will be using judgment to make ball handling calls at their specific level. There is no girl touch rule in our leagues (girl player does not have to make contact with the ball before it goes over), and all games will be match play with 2 games to 21 points, 3rd game to 15 if necessary. There will be 2 divisions, A and BB/B.

The first day of the Summer I session is June 4th.

Playoffs will be July 9th.

• The time slots are 6:30, 7:20, 8:10, 9:00, and 9:50.

Thursdays at The Strand - Coed 4x4 A, BB, and B Levels - Summer I 2025

6 WEEKS LONG! 5 weeks plus playoffs.

Thursday volleyball at The Strand includes - Coed 4x4 A, BB, and B levels (at least one girl on the court). All levels will be using judgment to make ball handling calls at their specific level. There is no girl touch rule in our leagues (girl player does not have to make contact with the ball before it goes over the net).

The first day of the Summer I session is June 5th.

Playoffs will be July 10th.

• Two matches per week
• Matches will be best of 3. First 2 sets to 21, third set to 15 if necessary.
• The time slots are 6:30, 7:20, 8:10, 9:00, and 9:50.
• MATCHES WILL START AND END ON TIME.

A, BB and B levels

A - Consists of teams with a solid knowledge of the game and rules. The skill level is high and very consistent. All players understand offensive and defensive concepts. Expect longer rallies and competitive matches. This is the highest level offered for Black Rabbit Volleyball league play.

BB - Skilled. Teams in this division have skilled players with good ball handling skills but are less consistent than the "A" level players. Expect good rallies and lots of scoring. Players that do exceptionally well in this level move up.

B - Recreational division. These teams understand that there are 3 hits to get the ball over the net but might not use all 3 every time. Teams in this division are usually out for a fun night with friends or coworkers. We will have a referee on site to explain rules and help the teams along if any questions arise.

Parent / Child League at The Strand - Summer I 2025

Sunday - Parent/Child league STARTS JUNE 8TH

Want to play with your kids? This is the league for you! We offer a couple of divisions based on skill level. This league is 4 weeks plus playoffs for a total of 5 weeks. This is a super fun league and has been my favorite one since I started it. Check these out!

10 and under - Super beginner level. Kids ages range from 7 to 12, based on skill. Teams play on a Juniors court (smaller than a doubles court) with a low net. We want to get the kids used to calling out the score, saying serve, practicing serving, and sharing the court with their partners. This is not a competitive league, just somewhere to get the kids together to play on a court. Weekly games will be match play. Best 2 of 3 playing the first 2 games to 21 and the 3rd to 15.

13 and under - This is a more advanced level. Kids are usually 13 and up based on skill. Teams play on a doubles court with a low net. Teams in this division are working on passing, setting, and hitting. This is for the kids that are playing in school, club, or leagues. Weekly games will be match play. Best 2 of 3 playing the first 2 games to 21 and the 3rd to 15.

14 and up - This is the most advanced level. Kids are 14 and up based on skill. Teams play on a doubles court with a low net. Teams in this division are working on passing, setting, and hitting. This is for the kids that are playing in school, club, or leagues. Weekly games will be match play. Best 2 of 3 playing the first 2 games to 21 and the 3rd to 15.

Games will be at 4:30 or 5:30 pm on Sundays.

Do Better - Adult Training program - Spring II 2025

Welcome to the Do Better adult training program.

We are partnering with 692 and their coaches to make sure that you, as a player, get to be the best you can. This is a brand-new training session with brand-new lessons! We are offering 2 Training sessions on Tuesday, and 2 training sessions on Wednesday. These will be held at The Strand with two of the best coaches from the DFW area. We will have specific drills to accelerate your game, no matter where your starting point is. Training will include a structured group activity with instruction, practice, and evaluation. Coaches will show you the skill to work on, show you how to practice it, and watch you to make sure that you are getting it and making progress. This is about accountability and being better.

We have two options for registration.

Beginner and Advanced training

May 6th - June 10th

6-week program for a one-time fee of $65.00 per session

Price includes 50 minutes of group training with a coach. 

There will be two training sessions per night. 7:20 and 9pm
